SkillPLUMB 2008
SkillPLUMB is the new name for the plumbing skills competitions that have previously been run by BPEC for the last 20 years. The competition gives colleges and individuals an opportunity to participate in a national initiative focusing on plumbing skills and education.
All UK colleges are invited to take part each year. Each college is encouraged to enter their competitor in a SkillPLUMB competition.
SkillPLUMB runs competitions covering England and Wales. In addition, SkillBUILD NI runs a competition for Northern Ireland and SNIPEF runs a competition in Scotland.
The winners from each national competition are invited to take part in the UK final, which is held later in the year. The UK final lasts for a number of days and at the end of the competition, SkillPLUMB will announce the winners, who are presented with a range of awards and prizes.
Participating in this annual plumbing skills competition brings invaluable benefits to both colleges and students. The competitors will test their skills against the best apprentices in the UK. Taking part in the competition will increase the competitor’s ability to work accurately to tight specifications and offer an invaluable experience.
